Join anglers, fly tiers and conservationists from Iowa and beyond to enrich your outdoors in 2017. Every year, the Hawkeye Fly Fishing Association show attracts fishing and outdoor enthusiasts for seminars, discussions and a chance to see what’s new in the world of fly-fishing. HFFA’s annual show is the only statewide gathering of fly anglers in Iowa and is its most important fundraising event, the proceeds of which go directly to outdoor education, habitat improvement, and enhancement of fishing here in Iowa.

This year’s annual show is coming up, February 17, 18 and 19, 2017 at the Clarion Hotel in Iowa City, and offers much for brand new and experienced anglers alike. We have a great schedule of national and local speakers, presenting a variety of fishing and fly tying topics designed to build your confidence, increase your skill, and enhance relationships with friends and family. Headline presenters include Lori-Ann Murphy and Jay “Fishy” Fullum – Lori-Ann was the first ever female Orvis-endorsed fly fishing guide and since then has been honored numerous times as an ambassador of fly fishing to new participants. Fishy Fullum is a talented artist and fly tying and fishing instructor, who loves nothing more than getting kids off on the right foot in both tying and casting. Nowhere other than the Annual HFFA Show will you have an opportunity to visit one-on-one with many of the fly fishing-specific vendors in our commercial exhibits room, and learn new techniques up close at the elbow of the several expert fly tiers that will be demonstrating their craft during the show.

Online registration is available in advance and walk-ins are welcome. Kids 18 and under are free. All the info is on HFFA’s website,

HFFA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of Iowa anglers and conservationists, dedicated to the promotion of fly fishing, fly tying, fisheries conservation and outdoor education. Its members come from throughout Iowa and beyond.
